Over the past fifteen years Jennifer Fedorink has juxtaposed traditional weaving techniques with non-traditional materials to create a myriad of unique, beautiful objects that also act as a subtle reminder of the sometimes uneasy relationship humans have with their environment. Her respect for nature translates into a desire to use recycled material in her work. This series of holiday ornaments utilize a wide variety of salvaged objects. Broken guitar strings, warp ends, old telephone wires and computer cables forge relationships and create innovative forms that transcend their everyday banality.
